AI.CometStack Manual

Introduction
This app is designed for simplicity and ease of use. This guide will help you understand all features and workflows quickly. AICometStack cuts comet stacking from two hours down to just ten minutes on your phone.
Menu Options
  • Open: Tap the leftmost icon in the bottom menu and select your FITS files to begin stacking.
  • Stop: Cease the current stacking process.
  • Help: Access this user guide. Tap the Back button at the top of the screen to exit.
  • Save: Save your star stack, comet stack, and merged stack directly to the Photos app.

Understanding Stacks
  • Star Stack: Aligns images to the stars. The stars appear sharp, while the comet appears blurred.
  • Comet Stack: Aligns images to the comet. The comet appears sharp, while the stars appear blurred.
  • Merge Stack: Combines the star stack and comet stack.
    • Unaligned Merge: An instant preview created by adding the unaligned star and comet layers.
    • Final Merge: Produced after full processing; both stars and the comet are aligned and artifact-corrected.

Premium Features
  • Save TIFF: Save your work as a 16-bit TIFF image to preserve maximum comet detail. Images save directly to the Photos app for further editing in third-party software. This feature requires a yearly subscription.

AI Technologies Used
  • Comet AI: Automatically detects the exact position of the comet nucleus.
  • Star AI: Seamlessly isolates and removes stars from the frame.
  • Trails AI: Identifies and eliminates unwanted star trails.

Standard Workflow
  1. Tap the Open button.
  2. Select your individual source files.
  3. The app will automatically begin stacking.
  4. Tap Save to export your final images.

PushToCam Manual

Thank you for using PushToCam iOS app. It is an easy way to find your way in the space.  PushToCam is different from FinderCam in a significant way. It does not use camera to align to the star or to guide telescope to target. Without needing the phone camera, you will not need to bent your body or neck awkwardly to look at the app when your phone is attached to the telescope. VideoStack For Planet Manual

Thank you for using VideoStack for Planet iOS app. It is an easy way to stack your video frames into a single photo. Stacking is a way to combine the images so that noise is removed in the final image. See below 2 photos of 1 frame vs 40 frames. Previously, in order to image a planet, it is quite a long workflow. You have to take a video on your camera, upload to your computer, and use PIPP > Registax > GIMP to crop, stack and process the video frames. Now you can do it on your phone conveniently. Direction: 1. Use videoCam iOS app to take a short video of the planet with your telescope. You will need at least 130mm telescope to see some details on Jupiter.
